Jade Honce, MA, CCC, RCC, RDT

My work began with a simple truth I learned early in life: when we don’t have the words, the body and creativity speak for us. I discovered that expression — whether through movement, image, story, or role playing — can offer a way back to parts of ourselves we’ve had to quiet in order to survive. That understanding shaped not only my training, but the therapist I became.

Throughout my personal and professional journey, I’ve seen that real healing happens when we work with the whole person — the thoughts you carry, the emotions you hold, the patterns you repeat, and the nervous system that learned long ago what it needed to do to stay safe. Our defences and coping strategies weren’t mistakes; they were adaptations. And bringing compassion to those origins is where transformation begins.

Over the past decade, my work has continually returned to this truth: the past and present are connected. The patterns that feel confusing or limiting today usually have deep, intelligent roots. When we understand those roots — gently, without shame — we create space for new ways of relating to ourselves and others.

Creativity remains part of that process for me, not as an art project, but as a bridge: a way to access insight, emotion, and self-compassion in a felt, embodied way. Paired with psychodynamic exploration, somatic work, EMDR, and evidence-based therapies, it supports healing that is both deep and sustainable.

My story is ultimately about believing in your capacity to heal — not by becoming someone new, but by returning to the parts of you that have been waiting to be seen. My role is to walk beside you as you reconnect with your clarity, your worth, and the version of yourself that feels most true.
