Clinical Consultation
My approach is creative, empathic, mindful and trauma informed.
"Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a body-oriented approach to healing trauma and other stress disorders. The SE approach releases traumatic shock, which is key to transforming PTSD and the wounds of emotional and early developmental attachment trauma." - Taken from www.traumahealing.org
Jade has completed the Somatic Experiencing (SE) Advanced Level 2 training through the SE Trauma Institute. This means Jade has completed the SE program with a total of 225 hours of learning involving lecture, discussion, experience as practitioner and client, as well as personal consultation with a certified SE Practitioner (SEP).
I work virtually offering video and telephone counselling sessions. All virtual counselling services are done through Zoom which is a secure encrypted video conferencing platform. EMDR Therapy
Jade has completed the CPT training and is now offering it to clients with PTSD. CPT is a type of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) that is considered a frontline approach to treating the PTSD. CPT helps you learn how to identify, challenge and change unhelpful beliefs related to the trauma that are negatively impacting your life and keeping you stuck in symptoms of PTSD. It is NOT about lying to yourself. It is about working together so you can stop avoiding, come to an honest and clear understanding of the trauma and feel the natural emotions around it so you can move forward and stop suffering. It is an evidenced based treatment option proven effective in reducing symptoms of PTSD. CPT is generally delivered over 6-12 sessions. Weekly sessions are recommended. Please contact Jade for more information.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a well-researched and highly effective psychotherapy method that has proven to be useful for individuals suffering from trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and panic disorders. It is a structured form of therapy designed to resolve unprocessed traumatic memories in the brain and can typically be completed in fewer sessions than other therapies. Unlike other therapies, EMDR does not require talking about the distressing issue in detail or completing homework between sessions. Upon successful treatment, EMDR therapy can relieve affective distress, reformulate negative beliefs, and reduce physiological arousal.
Jade is an EMDR Trained Clinician through the EMDRIA organization. This means Jade has completed 63 hours of comprehensive training which includes lecture, discussion, experience as practitioner and client, as well as 11 hours of group consultation with a certified EMDR certified practitioner.
